O'Reilly Title: Head First WordPress and The New Community Rules: Marketing on the Social Web. The Wordpress Anthology. Other titles: Wordpress for Dummies.

WordPress has evolved from a blogging platform into a robust Content Management System (CMS). It can be implemented “out-of-the-box” by reasonably nerdy novices (using existing free and paid themes) or it can be fully customized by those who have a nose for code (HTML, CSS & PHP in particular).

During this talk we'll discuss ways you can start using WordPress, whether you know a little, or a lot of HTML. Heidi Cool is a marketer who builds Web sites and advises others on the steps they can take to plan, develop and promote sites that most effectively serve their goals—and those of their target audience.

Formerly Webmaster at Case Western Reserve University, she now develops sites for designRoom Creative and for small and mid-size business clients. She has been working with WordPress since 2007 and uses it as her primary content management system for client sites.
