Assistant Director of Web + Digital Marketing

Cleveland Institute of Art is one of the nation’s leading independent colleges of art and design.

We are seeking an Assistant Director of Web + Digital Marketing. This position is responsible for ensuring the performance of the website, maximizing the user experience, maintaining the CIA brand, and developing /implementing content. The position is also responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and reporting on CIA’s social media platforms; digital marketing initiatives, internal/external email communications and web accessibility standards 2.0.

Primary responsibilities include updating and maintaining CIA’s website and mobile site; executing web projects from inception through testing and long term maintenance; driving strategic email marketing efforts; working with the IT Dept. to perform regular accessibility audits of institutional websites and applications; ensuring seamless operation between the college’s website, third party data bases, and ERP system; measuring and reporting performance of CIA website using Google Analytics; managing site architecture; updating and maintaining CIA’s social media presence; planning, developing, and executing digital marketing initiatives; and evaluating emerging technologies, providing thought leadership.

The successful candidate will possess 3-5 years of experience with content management systems; social media, and email marketing systems; knowledge of web accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.0 and ADA Sec. 508; experience with Java, JQuery, Jscript, .NET, Perl; HTML and Ajax. Strong knowledge of web and social media analytics; and experience with search engine optimization marketing, and ranking strategies is also required.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Web Design or a related field, and three-five years of experience is required.
