We are seeking a multimedia designer with a strong multimedia development skillset to join our content team consisting of multimedia and instructional designers. This individual will work in a fast-paced environment turning complex and technical information into easily discernible interactive visual experiences and assist in the development of next generation content. The Multimedia Designer will primarily focus on designing, developing, and maintaining illustrations and animations for Tooling U-SME eLearning and other training products.

MAJOR FUNCTIONS:

  • Provides multimedia and instructional design and expertise in the development and integration of online instructional media strategies with course materials, for eLearning and instructor led training in accordance with researched best practices
  • Design and develop illustrations and animations
  • Storyboard and create 2D, 3D, animation, and video content for eLearning
  • Create and assist Content Development team in custom content development
  • Contribute to the multimedia strategy for Tooling U-SME content development.
  • Manage files on development servers within established conventions
  • Communicate with and provide development specifications to contractors
  • Use internal project management tools to track project progress
  • Independently research and collect reference materials
  • Review and quality control of team assets
  • Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Multimedia Design, Computer Science, or relevant work experience
  • 1-3 years in a design or development environment
  • Illustration, typography, and layout skills
  • Proficient in storyboard creation for interactive and animation development
  • 3D development proficiencies: low and high poly modeling, texturing, lighting, animating, rendering and compositing
  • Proficiency in:
    • Cinema 4D
    • Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop
    • MS Office (Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and effectively manage time
  • Ability to work independently or take direction

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Background in eLearning, instructional design, and training or manufacturing
  • Video production, post-production, and photography experience
  • Proficiency in additional Creative Cloud applications
  • Proficiency in Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Standard office environment
  • Regular, in-person attendance required
