We’re searching for an entry-level Production Artist to join our in-house Creative Services team. This role’s primary responsibilities will be assisting a design team in the production of catalog pages for print. The Production Artist will play a crucial role in delivering work according to each catalog’s style and brand guidelines. The perfect candidate will be comfortable with tight deadlines, can accurately handle a high-volume output, and work well under pressure.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Collect pick-up items on the page; identify and follow up on any incorrect information
  • Responsible for daily downloading of images from our photography studio’s FTP site and correctly organizing it for use by the designer; transfers images to our server
  • Prepare and assist in film review presentation; log and send all selected images to our service bureau for processing
  • Upload files to digital routing program and ensure that files are routed to and reviewed by the correct people
  • Work on corrections and layouts for catalogs, as assigned
  • Copy final assets onto our server after each catalog release; prepare final PDFs for storage and for the call center
  • Prepare web copy from final catalog pages
  • Log randoms and products to/from our service bureau
  • Review and prepare vendor art
  • Complete the appropriate paperwork and tracking of any full product color corrections requested by the merchants
  • Assist with new designs and concepts, as needed
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Educational Requirements
    • o Associates Degree
      • Field of Study: graphic design or equivalent experience
    • Previous Years of Related Experience
      • o Ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of design/production experience working in-house or for a creative agency
    • Specific Skill Requirements
      • o Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume production environment
      • o Ability to handle stressful situations and deadline pressures
      • o Strong organizational and prioritization skills, along with keen attention to detail
      • o Process-oriented
      • o Able to take direction and execute accordingly
      • o Ability to follow creative direction
      • o Excellent written and verbal communication skills
      • o High proficiency using MAC platform, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office, and Outlook is a requisite
      • o Strong understanding of graphic design, composition and type
      • o Manage multiple jobs in a highly reliable and accurate manner
      • o Be a team player in every sense of the word, be collaborative and be able to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
    • Schedule Requirements
      • Prompt, regular attendance required. 40 hours/week. 8 hr. day scheduled so as to work core office hours of 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
